Since 1996 The Spot has been built on the back of volunteers. No matter who you are and what skill set you have you may be able to help us by giving of your time and expertise. It may be for 1 hour a week, 1 hour a year or just when we need some guidance or assistance, but be assured that your help would be appreciated by the clients and staff at The Spot. At The Spot we run a number of social enterprises that give young people the opportunity of gaining employment & put finances in the bank for The Spot. Currently we operate The Design Embassy - a graphic design studio, The Audio Embassy - a fully operational recording studio, Starving Kids Records - a record label that supports local unsigned artists, and The Rock Indoor Climbing and High Ropes centre. Each time you buy a service/product from one of these businesses you are helping to give a young person a future through employment and at the same time you are helping The Spot cover our day-to-day operating expenses.
