The main aims of the GSFW program are to prepare
you for employment, further training or a return
to school however we will also provide a wide range
of experiences that will increase your ability to
work as part of a team, increase your level of skill,
boost your confidence and self esteem and increase
your knowledge.
Get Set for Work (GSFW) is a 6 month government funded program
for unemployed young people aged between 15-17. From
2006 young queenslanders must stay in education or training
after yr 10 until they have a senior certificate, a certificate
III vocational qualification, turned 17 or have a full-time
job. It’s part of the state government’s Education and
Training Reforms for the Future (ETRF).
GSFW is one option under the reforms for young people.
The program is a combined theory and ‘on the job’ learning
experience. During the GSFW program your training will
